Maybe reality is a condition I do not ignore as easily as you do? There is a reason oil are useful. I cannot see forcing decreases in our oil usage and destroying our economy while the rest of the world passes us by, as a step to create new energy sources. How stupid is it to use food to run our cars? Did you know the first cars were not powered by oil based fuels? Let me run this past you and the others. I'll assume you're right and there isn't much oil left (I disagree), so let's go ahead and use it all up. Seems the fastest way to get off of it is to run out, not cripple our economy by giving it to China.
