Mr Brooks. I was very disappointed in this movie. I am a 'rabid' fan of Dexter because there is a logical explanation about how he got to be the way he is. Where was Mr Brook's early trauma. There was a flimsy indication that it was bad DNA. Barf!!!!! With Mr. Brooks what you see is a strong suggestion of a Dissociative Personality but even so, he is what the experts in treating such people say, co-conscious. In other words, at no time was he taken over and the other part of Mr Brooks became unaware of his addiction. Demi Moore was horrible. Also, what happens at the end, even tho it was foretold, was very weak writing. I had to take extra showers a couple of days after I watched the movie. I never have that reaction with Dexter. Also, the other characters in the latter series can really act, their characters are full developed, and the best part is that it is very frequently funny, touching and endearing. I don't see it celebrating a serial killer. Dexter's confusion and agony is always front and center.
