exactly, my son's school has a lot of Muslims and Hindus, because their parents work at Johns-Hopkins. no one feels left out during their religious holidays. The kids talk about it and the Muslims and Hindu kids said they would be left out in their countries and they understand that the USA is more Christian. It's no big deal they say, call it Christmas

Israel is a Jewish Nation and they make no bones about it. Same with the Muslim Nations. Very few countries don't have a State Religion.

When we were founded most here were Christians, but hated the denominations other than their own. I can remember a Christian Minister in Woodville, Texas, back in 43, badmouthing the local Catholic Church from the Pulpit.

So we made a big deal out of separating Church and State. And as other Religions have come in though immigrants, that separation has saved us a lot of grief.

Now we are secular to a point that annoys a lot of Christians. And is appreciated by the non-Christians. It will always be a sore point, and will never be settled to everyone's satisfaction.
