Chris, let's for a moment assume, that I belong to that exclusive club of 1% of the tax payers, who at >340k$ declared income pay a whopping 40% of all taxes paid in this country.
Now let me ask you this:

1. Do you feel it's fair to hike the taxes for this group?

2. Do you believe that would be productive and add to the health of our economy?

Whether you like it or not, you fatcats have to pay your fair share.


If he makes $340k and his state and federal tax rate combined is ~40%, he pays ~$136,000 in taxes EVERY YEAR (before deductions). That's not a "fair share"? How much should he pay, per year, in your mind?
