Lynn,

it's not politics. The value of the dollar is all important to our economy. We're all wondering why our economy is spiralling out of control and stocks are going down, including Cisco. Well, maybe it's MACRO economics and not MICRO. It's not Cisco's fault. Really, we have a very sick economy lead by bad leaders. You have to fix one to fix the other. Otherwise, stocks like Cisco will stagnate, even though the company itself posts record-breaking quarters. You have to fix the twin deficits to fix the dollar. Fix the dollar and oil prices will come down. Fix our oil dependence and oil prices come down. If oil prices come down, our economy can surge. If the economy surges, stocks will surge, including Cisco. Right now, Cisco has this big glass ceiling on top of its stock price and that glass ceiling is called a bad US economy.

The big picture is just as important to understand as the company-specific picture, at least to any serious investor, which is why I post MACRO economic news as well as Cisco-specific news. It's all relevant.
