"McCarthy was right in the premise there were communists among the people he suspected. "

You mean on the list that he wouldn't show to anyone?

Nothing in this picture would give you the opinion Iran would want to put Bush on trial?

To my knowledge, impeachment and a trial are two different things. Besides you have no idea why they want Bush tried. It may be because he's Christian or that he has gray hair. So to assume that the Iranians and I are on the same page is an arrogant and malicious assumption.

McCarthy was right in the premise there were communists among the people he suspected.

There may have been but then there were many people who were not communists but were maligned by McCarthy through innuendo. And I find it a bit hypocritical that we were allied with the Soviets during the second world war but if you were a member of the communist party, that was somehow something evil to be condemned by an alcoholic senator.

Try a history book ted, not what you think happened.

Was it against the law for an American to be a member of the communist party?

One last thing.....you all have suggested that I will 'brainwash' my students with my beliefs. That's fairly ironical because its seems pretty apparent that you and others were subjected to some sort of brainwashing growing up where you did. From what I have read of your posts, it would appear American affairs was presented to you from a very particular perspective. I guess that's to be expected wherever one grew up but apparently, your thinking has never gotten beyond that brainwashing.
