I have been watching more Book TV on CSPAN2 lately and have seen audio books recommended there as an alternative.

I love books on tape for traveling. It makes the miles go by.

My cell phone has sound files on it, some of which are Robert Service poems. I could probably put some book mp3 files on it too.

Where do you get books on MP3???

I have read a couple of the Sharpe novels by Cornwell and I enjoyed them. Don't ask me why (because I have no ready response), but about two months ago I watched all of the original 14 television movies that were based on the Sharpe character. It just dawned on me that the three weeks I was consumed by Sharpe totaled almost 24 hours of television viewing. I found the movies very entertaining, even if some of the history was a bit shaky. I am surprised that Sean Bean has not gotten more work here in the U.S.
