Seems like any time Alghieri responds to my posts, he always finds a way to steer the argument toward Iraq. Fine, let's get out of Iraq as soon as we can, especially if the violence there really is declining. Will that balance the budget? Only if we don't end up spending the savings and more, which is what Al and you guys are advocating.

I don't want to speak for anyone else but Iraq is number one on my list. Energy efficiency is my number two. Both have a huge impact on the twin deficits and subsequently the dollar and the economy.

A lot of the "new" spending that is being proposed by the Dems is clearly being balanced by "new" taxes, not deficit spending. On the other hand, have you listened to the Reps? They are also proposing increased spending, on the military and other "stuff". But they also propose lowering taxes. Not exactly deficit hawks.

So, "What do you guys want to focus on?".

I expect we are all a little different. What exactly do "you guys" want to focus on?
