Mindmeld, it looks like the sheiks of the Middle East are gonna bail us out <ggg>. Have you noticed the pattern over the past year where various stock markets and companies have been getting purchased or received significant investment from places like Dubai? Today's Citigroup news is just another datapoint. I guess the oil dollars just keep getting recirculated. It certainly will be an interesting 2008. You may be correct on the Asian contagion theory, but I would quibble with you about the writedowns. From what I read mortgages will continue to reset in large quantities for another one to two years, and if something isn't done to stop the vicious spiral down, things could really get ugly. I have to say though, this market has been a trader's dream, if you are nimble and watch on a daily basis the moves have been much larger and opportunities that much greater.

Regards,
John
