I simply wanted to highlight Peter's simplistic and naive view of how America came to be what it is today. He suggested "personal drive, honesty, honor, integrity" as dominant qualities in those "people who took every opportunity to make a buck for themselves." You must be a black hater to suggest this country was not, at least in part, built with sweat and blood of many generations of people descended from Africa. "Honesty, honor" and "integrity" are not qualities found in abundance when you study the history of white America's treatment of Native Americans and Blacks, even today.

"people who took every opportunity to make a buck for themselves." is right on the mark, but to color it with words such as "honesty, honor, integrity" reveals Peter's shallow reading of history.
