OT Today Experiment will play her first International tournament. The Uruguayans are coming to Curitiba. Pre-tournament speech was given yesterday by Rene Simoes. A legend in the Caribbean!

Rene Simoes got football players who, although were foreigners, claimed Jamaican ancestry. He called them up and told they owed a tribute to the land of their ancestors. Although earning money and having to return to a land of no tradition in football, they dully showed up and qualified, as "The Reggae Boyz", for the World Cup of 1998 in France.

They may never becanme big in the land they migrated and were playing, but they will always be remembered as "The Reggae Boys" who took Jamaica to the World Cup.

They didn’t make too far, but won a game, the first victory ina World Cup of a Caribbean nation since 1938!

Rene didn't stop there: He went to Trinidad Tobago and helped them qualify for the 2006 World Cup although he left before they qualified.

Rene Simoes, coaches today "Coxa" our Curitiba’s Team.
