Its not fun being put in that kind of situation. With my experience, I was objecting to 4 cops who were beating up an illegal who was not trying to get away. They would tell him to get up and start walking....and as soon as he did, they would begin beating him again. This was in broad daylight on a major street. It left a strong impression on me.

I had a cop charge me with reckless driving for something I didn't do.

No arrest, no severe confrontation or intimidation, but still it was pretty messed up.

I had to hire a lawyer, I got the charge reduced to a normal ticket in terms of points but the assistant commonwealth attorney insisted on a large fine (and if I hadn't hire the lawyer she wouldn't have even talked to me). I paid rather than risk the conviction.

I was charged with something I didn't do once myself. I hired a lawyer, went to court, and the charges were dropped. I had a witness ready to testify for my version.
