My family was of German extract and my recollection is that my Dad was very opposed to entering WWII UNTIL the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Then ALL 3 of my brothers joined up and went off to war, though the Navy caught my youngest brother, he was only 14 when he lied about his age and enlisted, just after boot camp and BOOTED him. haha. jdn
