I'm looking forward to the cell phone ban. My biggest fear riding my scooter is getting pooned by some inattentive teenager who is yakking away with her buddies (they are almost always females) on the cell phone.

It's pretty simple - make your call before you put it in drive or after you get where you're going. If you have to make or take a call while driving, just pull over to the side.

Me too Ken. We seem to be attracting the worse of the worst here in Seattle area. Despite what is said about the housing market, I'm seeing more and more cars on the road and their drivers are becoming more and more rude. We were taught to be courteous when we drive, but I'm thinking that kind of instruction only happened here in the PNW. I'm sure most of them are from very crowded areas where they had to learn to be aggressive if they wanted to get anywhere, but gosh.........they are dangerous. I drive a big suv, and I complain about the cost of fuel, but I'd much rather be in it than a small car.

I avoid big rigs, buses, vans and pickup trucks as much as possible. And I look in my mirrors and just generally all around me when I drive, looking for that hazardous situation that can erupt at any time.
