tyc did you see any other goldbug take delight in that post. I even said no way is the banking system collapsing. Come on man take RE with a grain of salt.Sometimes he is right on sometimes not. Same as all of us.

I work in the credit business and have most of my working life. I see gold as insurance against fiscal irresponsibility in the private sector the government sector and the indidvidual sector. So I OWN GOLD, well the proxy, the stocks as insurance against mismangement. I did not want to see this mismanagement but here it is anyhow. Does not maen I buy gold because I like it and I get tired of you saying that goldbugs want misery so our gold stocks will go up.

Do you have health insurance becaue you wan to get sick? Do you have homeowner insurance because you want your home to burn down. Do you have auto insurance because you want to wreck you car?

" I leave with serious doubts in my mind about "gold-bugs""

Really !!!! Well you always have the ever wonderful US Dollar to keep you company on cold nights.

But you shouldn't single me out or anyone for that matter because I really tire of being the whipping boy for your frustrations because your precious system is collapsing. Did it occur to you that maybe you would feel more comfortable over on the Tiger thread?
Subject 54430

There aren't many gold bugs at all over there but lots of money bugs who are more than happy to "Ride the Tiger" but know precious little about gold itself and what it represents other than a quick trade in gold shares. Gold bugs have principles greater than making money but few people really understand the morality of gold versus the USD, and so YES, I express glee when I see the USD having problems and it has NOTHING to do with partisan politics and EVERYTHING to do with financial morality, sorry you can't see that.

Maybe this will help you understand what the USD represents:

GET IT NOW?

It has nothing to do with politics and it has no offense to you whatsoever. By your own admission you wish to see the corrupt monetary system continue on as it has for decades. I live to see it die. Doesn't make me better or worse than you, just different.

A real gold bug buys gold not only as a protection from corrupt monetary policies propped up by criminals who live in mansions in many countries while exploiting the poor of the world but they hope to see the same jailed. Nothing would please me more than to see Greenspan and his worldwide conspirateurs hung.

There is a BIG difference between gold bugs and gold stock bugs but the two can live side by side but someone who knows the mining industry and the various plays like we do and tries to profit from same isn't necessarily a gold bug in the true sense of the word.

Gold bugs know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the world's inequalities are caused by criminals in various governments and CB's that perpetuate monetary policies that make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

If you want to take this to a religious point of view, God made gold, God did NOT make the USD.

Anyway as Jim Sinclair, a true gold bug likes to say recently...

"THIS IS IT"

Maybe he will continue to be right, time will tell but it's best to sell down ALL shares to a lower comfort level and to me this includes metals shares just in case they never follow gold upwards.
