As an educator, Ted knows that some people require frequent repetition to absorb material.

They repeat a lie often enough, they think it increases its credibility.

Having shattered liberal myth #1, let's go on to #2:

If liberals are so patriotic, why do they tend to oppose ROTC and military recruiting? Why do liberals want foreign terrorists to have the same defense rights that accused criminals in the US have? Why do so many on the left believe 911 conspiracy theories, even though AQ leaders have confessed/boasted of the attack numerous times? Why do liberals make silly charges like the US is trying to steal Middle Eastern oil? How do you square falsely accusing the US of crimes with claims of patriotism?

I'm not going to bother arguing rest of the post, its nothing but name-calling. Conservatives are bad, love war, we don't face a terrorist threat, we are trying to steal ME oil, and similar silly crap that no intelligent person could believe.

Re. conservative vs liberal morality, there is a well known book published a year or so ago which showed that conservatives, and especially religious conservatives, are much more generous in their charitable giving. I submit that this is more meaningful than listing anecdotes of this or that conservative who was caught with their pants down.

And lets explore that aspect. Why is it when liberal politicians are caught with their pants down they don't suffer politically. Conservatives in such situations generally resign or are turned out by conservative voters in the next eleciton. Look at the Democratic party otoh, you have Teddy Kennedy, who drowned a girl in a car while driving drunk and then waited till the middle of the next day to report the crime. And there is the Senate Majority Leader, Robert Byrd, a one-time recruiter for the Klan, who has used the N-word in public just a few years ago, who led the fight to keep blacks off the Supreme Court. There is Barney Frank who had a calboy prostition ring run out of his apartment. There is Gerry Studds who screwed a teenage page and publicly admitted it. There is that fellow, Jefferson, with the marked bills in his freezer. I could continue for some time if I wanted. The point about these people isn't that they had moral flaws, its that they continue in office for decades after. There is no holding of anyone on the left to account. Can anyone be blamed for thinking morality just doesn't matter enough to folks on the left?
