Irish and Scottish are both Celts in origin.>> Not all Scots (and not all Irish) are Celtic in origin. There is a large portion of modern day Irish that are descendants of the Normans and also the Vikings. Don't go by just snippets that you read.....there's always a bigger picture. The Scots that were planted in Ulster during the 17th and 18th century (The plantation of Ulster) were Presbyterian land owners and were in turn predominantly descendants of the Anglicized Scots ie. of Protestant Anglo Saxon origin. The Ulster Scots that you are referring to are not of Celtic stock but were predominantly Anglo Saxon. It is clearly visible when you visit NI that the Protestant population are for the most part more Germanic in appearance. You ought to try visiting these places some time.....its amazing what travel can reveal that no history book or the internet can.

Anyway, with regards to "real world" examples....turn on any late night talk show and you'll get anything from Arab slurs during the monologues to skits showing burka beauty pageants etc. Your buddy Ann Coulter for example.... apaam.com Some other tidbits of intellectual insight from her "I think our motto should be, post-9-11, 'raghead talks tough, raghead faces consequences.'" "I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East" This chick is on the NYT best seller list, constantly on tv and is a darling in rightwing circles and on speech tours......this is not an insignificant number of supporters. Funny thing is she was called out recently on CNBC for saying that Christians were perfected Jews and she came back out on the show crawling and backpeddling like a slimy weasel because she realized that she had just slandered Jews. It was on national news for days after the event. These are just examples I can think of offhand.....
