This country has been divided since the Civil War, and what was that war about? And what is the #1 issue for Republicans this year, slamming Mexicans. They are the new blacks, but it doesn't mean there still isnt massive sometimes subconscious fear and descrimination. Now Obama is not a threatening type, but neither is Harold Ford. In fact they're very similar, and look at how the GOP dirty tricksters destroyed Harold ford with one single dishonest ad. All because of his race. That's all that it was about. A white woman and a black man, even though Ford had never even met that woman they showed. All the above means is that there is a risk, that's all. And to ignore it is naive. That goes with nominating a lady too by the way.
