Jim Puplava of Financialsense.com says that 2008 will be the year when the deflationists will be finally put in place. The effects of inflation will be so pervasive that nobody will buy the deflationists' theories.

Heard a caller from Europe on the Peter Schiff say that his friends who toured US told him that European goods are cheaper in the US than they are in Europe!

I mean, products that are made in Europe and then packed and shipped to the US, then unpacked and displayed on the shelf of a US store costs less than it does in Europe?! How long is this state of affairs going to last? Schiff said that it is only a question of time before prices go up in the US as well. And since the US hardly makes anything these days, pretty much everything is going to cost more.

Say "hi" to inflation!
