No real estate bust in NZ yet. On the contrary, prices have continued to rise, which I find amazing. In US$ terms, they have gone nuts since Y2K.

10% down isn't enough to get me going. I'd like to own some nice USA properties, but I would like to see 50% price cuts [or free money from Big Ben for me to buy them - meaning free for 20 years, not just for a year or two].

The whole universe is already a super duper black hole with no externality. So life isn't all bad inside black holes. I never have understood what they mean by "The universe was about the size of a grapefruit after 10 nano-seconds of expansion after the Big Bang". How do they measure that size and how quickly is their clock running at the time?

When things are that hectic, I don't think they really have grapefruit available to act as measuring sticks. Any time pieces would look like Salvador Dali's watches with one watch keeping time against the other. popartuk.com
