Even children, not only grandchildren, change your perspective.

I have lived ok for a short time in the wild but, as one early English author said of preindustrial times, life tended to be "nasty, brutish, and short." Being able to survive is not the same as looking forward to the future or even to just getting up in the morning.

Todd's info is interesting, Wharf, and he has obviously spent a lot of time in planning his retreat. Just not feasible for me at the moment.

Kids and grandkids are most rewarding, but you will have a much more tranquil life now if you stay childless. Not something I'm gonna tell my kids, tho. Don't know if my 2 youngest want kids or not. I hope Cruz stops at 1. Don't l know what he was thinking; no,wait, he wasn't thinking at the time :>)
