Priuses are fine, but they're a teeny tiny part of the solution.

For example, my sister drives a Prius, but here husband drives a Yukon and they live in a 4500 square foot house. Their carbon footprint is floppy clownshoe sized.....

I've read this Prius posts and my reaction is this--if these tech moguls were really serious about the environment they would push for mass transit instead of individual cars. I don't care how fuel efficient your car is the one/vehicle one/person mode of transportation is really pretty indulgent. Not only is it bad for the environment but there are other costs too such as traffic so bad it's ridiculous. Also alcohol(and other) related deaths because there is no convenient alternative. As children in households grow up everybody must have a car, so there are four or more cars per household, that is not a sustainable model for the future. These priuses are just window dressing, the underlying problem is everybody wanting their own little sanctuary for getting around.
