>>But I guess most Americans disagree with me :-)<<

One of the things that is healthy about America is that they are very willing to confront and change as the track record shows.

Most of the problems that you list;

>>reduce imports and increase exports, reduce obesity, less Chinese imports in Wallmart, less barbecue, fewer humvees, more vegetables, more international business, more exercise, more international cultural exchange, and more research in alternative energy (production, storage and transport). Military operations only done in cooperation with others, who pay their share.<<

are minor compared to some that other countries have and could be turned around very easy.

Europe, including Denmark, has other more serious and not so easily fixed problems for example. The high taxes and bureaucratic red tape kills off most entrepreneurs before they start. Then there are the restrictive labor laws, immigration problems and heavy subsidies which have now been even further removed from the people by having the bureaucrats in Brussels govern.

America has plenty of oil, Alaska, Texas, off shore. It also is a very rich country resource wise. The obesity is a result of an abundance of food and the diminishing need to labor. They buy a humvee for $100,000 because they are affluent. American has plenty of International business, probably more than any other nation on earth. As for the military operations, I and most Americans would agree that our political leaders have been seduced by the military industrial organization and I don't know that even a strong president can stop them. but I think Ron Paul might be someone who would at least give it a shot.

regards,

Ray

"Imo, a new president in USA has to take measures to reduce imports and increase exports, reduce obesity, less Chinese imports in Wallmart, less barbecue, fewer humvees, more vegetables, more international business, more exercise, more international cultural exchange, and more research in alternative energy (production, storage and transport). Military operations only done in cooperation with others, who pay their share."

And what might those measures be? Remember - Hillary is already placing presents worth billions and billions under the tree. Both parties are in full pander mode. The earmarks are the latest evidence!
