It would appear that in our (USA) corporate lust to be a Globally dominant force or at least a major player in todays economic environment that we need to lower the American Standard of living and Way of Life (to match that of the Chinese, Indian and Mexican laborer)this is being accomplished thru wage reduction.

We've already lost millions of jobs to Chinese, Indian, Mexican concerns as well as our Corporation Off Shore re-settlement...

Our USA Government and Corporate mentality has sold the American worker down the drain and it continues...

When America's middle class and lower income groups reach 3rd World status, the Corporations will signal from the Hamptons and Wall Street that all is OK now...

Lowering the minimum wage or prohibiting its rise is just another means to an end...

Bottom line>>>>>>America is in trouble (on many levels) and you are well aware of that fact.

I don't believe there is an out as long as our Government indulges in Self Service and Cult of the Personality as it's primary goal...

regards

Unless they make vast improvements in their quality control I cant see the Chinese putting anyone out of business except for disposable items like Christmas tree lights. I do a lot of my own mechanical work. I have tools up the gigi but they are very lightly used. Thus, much of my stuff is purchased at Harbor Freight and all their stuff seems to be made in China. Frankly, its junk. Works all right for me as not used often but would never hold up for daily use. When I need something thats extremely accurate or strong I go AMERICAN. To even think of a Chinese Automobile, gives me nightmares. (gg) jdn
