What's really interesting is that Harris isn't one of the top 1% getting the lucre. He's not even one of the top 5%, or 20%. Yet, by demonizing "liberal" policies, Harris has been led to believe that he is actually BETTER OFF when his economic "betters" profit from the economic structure of society MUCH more than he does.

It's like a slave saying his life would be so much worse if not for his enslaved condition! Yet, all over these threads, you find the same tune. Even people who should know better, like Ivy League educated Ten, buy this line of crap.

The strength of America comes from the distributed nature of the wealth of it's middle class. A stronger America would be formed by continuing this distribution. Instead, we're reversing this trend.

And then they go all Austrian School. Sure, it seems logical that there isn't any real, long term consequence to the rich getting richer at a higher rate than everyone else. Or, even if wages for the average worked doesn't keep pace with productivity growth. But, there is a lot of evidence that just such a scenario led to the Great Depression.

I have to believe on some level the rich knew they were responsible for the debacle and were also worried at the anger of 'the masses' over the loss of their jobs. I think that's what motivated them to share of a little bit of their portion of the pie with the rest of us. But that time seems to be long forgotten.
