"This story gets no attention in the MSM. Even the Wall Street Journal published a disgusted op-ed piece yesterday which claimed that Muslims and Christians always got on fine in Bethlehem but were suffering due to the Israelis erecting walls and checkpoints. The piece didn't mention that the walls and checkpoints went up to stop the snipers and the suicide bombers. The Tanzim were particularly fond of using Christian neighborhoods like Beit Jala as snipers' nests, knowing the Israelis would be more reluctant to attack Christians who were also helpless victims."

Both you and the journal are right. Most pal christians blame the israelis for their plight. If only the jews hadnt come to israel in the first place things would have been fine. Thats a very naive view but its one i believe is the view of the eastern orthodox churches as well.
