Wow, this old thread has been silent for a LONG time. and now two posts.

How strange that I get all these situations which seem to test my ability to keep my eyes on Jesus and not look away instead at the circumstances.

my very problem on SI, especially on the political boards where I struggle greatly.

But seriously, why is the SI Christian community reluctant to post their personal testimonies at Jesus Is Lord?

In my case, esp. here on SI, I am reluctant because I am ashamed. My actions on some threads on SI do not make me look as if I walk in the light.

Thanks for your reminders, and I, along with you pray that Jesus lives IN me and not just around me.

dan

PS. that reminds me, how many times have I heard or seen written from CHristians that thier faith is "private" between them and Jesus.....I find that hard to justify using the Word.

MSB...I agree we don't know what we'll get when we pray. I am very careful what I say when I pray and I never ask to be refined in any way! That's asking for trouble. I cringe when another Christian says they are praying for me. I try to discourage them. I've heard too many judgmental prayers prayed out loud in a group to want any of those people praying for me. They pray Lord refine so and so and do this and that to them but they would not pray that prayer for themselves. I prayed when I was a new Christian that the Lord show me what was in people's hearts. I meant the Christians in my Church. Boy was that a mistake. I was quickly saying I didn't want to see anymore!
