How many billions has Bush wasted on Pakistan when it seems the Mushareff government has a secret alliance with Al Qaida? I think he's given them about 10 billion. Small change compared to the trillion wasted in Iraq but still a lot of OUR money. And Osama Bin Laden and Zawahiri are still alive and well 6+ years after 9-11. Disgraceful.

By the way, no one is mentioning the obvious: Musharraf was right to crack down in November following that first attempt on his life and Miss Bhutto. Security now, elections later.

It seems you fail to see what so obvious to the rest of us. First and foremost, why would a president of the largest democracy in the world ally himself with a military dictator? What standard are you setting? Secondly, at one point do you begin to take stock and realize that all the billions you are sending this guy are doing little good? The Taliban and al Qaida are resurgent. What the hell has Musharraf done? Finally, why would you or anyone else believe that Musharraf would protect Bhutto who posed a threat to his control of Pakistan? Don't be so naive, Brumar.
