<<<She goes broke before she makes a dent in the available pool of property while bidding up the cost so that she is guaranteed to lose money as she is forced to sell at fire sale prices to avoid foreclosure. It would be almost as stupid as the Hunt brothers trying to corner the silver market.>>>

I must have given the wrong impression. I didn't really think Paris Hilton could buy up all the beach front property in America.

I used Paris Hilton as a crude metaphor for the status of the current economic condition where median family income and the earnings of the average worker, adjusted for inflation, the falling value of the dollar, and the increase in the cost of oil have declined. Where also the gap between the very rich and everyone else grew exponentially.

Having said that, I should brace myself for the usual unfettered capitalist movement comments that rarely deviates from supply-side voodoo economics, free-market (large)tax cuts for the rich, and greed-is-good mantra.
