Salt Lake City's light rail has done quite well and is used by commuters in the lower valley to ride into downtown jobs.

They don't have the crime problem that stopped the LA one from even getting off the ground. But I bet the annual loss is horrendous. You won't get the true figures out of them It would take a lot of digging to find out.

We are building one here going west from Honolulu into the suburbs. It will be a real boondoggle. But the Federal planners force it on the State and city by providing money for it, and penalizing any double decking of the freeway.

They could solve the crush in LA tomorrow by making large trucks travel the freeways only at night, with night deliveries. They proved this during the last Olympics when they did this during them and traffic disappeared. But Nooooooo.

Ogden was the armpit of the valley until the last three years.

That explains why the IRS sited a Service Center there.
