You're the one attacking other democrats, not me. I am strictly about winning a landslide against Mitt Romney. And for the life of me I can't understand why some of you don't see the obvious right in front of your face - that is a very risky move to nominate a woman or a black - it's very risk and has never been done. Also, Obama is very young and his time is really 2016. He and the country will be much more likely to be ready then.

Have you seen the match up polls? Did you see the one showing Edwards beating Romney by 16% Have you seen the poll showing Edwards with major support in red states? Do you realise he is the only one who can negate a Bloomberg run? You need to start paying attention and quit focusing solely on Obama.

And I remind you, Harold Ford was knocked down 8% in one week by the GOP with one tricky racist TV ad. That can happen to Obama too. Those who say race doesn't matter in the USA don't understand this country or our history. Race is extremely important, and the GOP knows how to stoke racism even in people who aren't consciously aware they see color.

I would also remind you that at one time Jesse Jackson led in the dem nomination race, as did George Wallace, Howard Dean, and a lot of other very problematic candidates. In the end, we must nominate the one who can beat the GOP in places like Missouri and Colorado, not someone we personally like. So be aware. The key is winning, not any one candidate. And southern white dem males have an excellent track record. Women and blacks have no track record at all unless you want to include the disaster of Mondale-Ferraro. And speaking is tivckets, how about Edwards-Obama and Obama in 2016? Why not? doesn't that make a lot more sense? After all Obama is a very young man.

Great post. It is unfortunate that someone like AS still sees many things in black or white. He has some issues he/she has to deal with.
