Maurice.....re: Ron Paul Maurice, you and the Paul enthusiasts seem to share at least one thing in common. You all hearken back to the past with some illusion of a golden age and think we can fix today's ills by restoring the political/economic structure of that period in time. I try but I just can't get my mental arms around such presumptions. Today's regulations were responses to real problems that arose as this country populated itself and industrialized. And why stop at the age of the gold standard, or pre-UN, or 'founding fathers', or whatever else you perceive as a wonderful time in US history? Why not go on back to pre-money days and we can all barter for goods and services? Or just dispense with govt. altogether and enjoy a feudal way of life? Sheesh..........
