BRCM's IPR would continue to be incorporated. Instead they went to the mat and ended up with their IPR being stripped out.

Great point....and now they will not have any IPR incorporated in Q's chips with which to negotiate a lower royalty rate.

Bingo!

A Phyrric victory.

Unless Barbara Major inflicts some real pain, which is possible, IMO Broadcon's offensive is over.

Assuming Q can do workarounds, which I think is probable, and assuming that the previous ITC win gets set aside for obviousness [it might not as I recall that Q's lawyers blew it procedurally on that point, though Verizon's didn't, a reason for BRCM to license VZW], then what does BRCM have left to do except come to Q hat in hand and ask for a license?

This is why I said BRCM is a minor nuisance and why JPM ["a pesky sideshow"] also correctly saw through the smoke and the mirrors.

Still, I wish the price would go down more so I can buy. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm only trying to make money here.
