You've never heard of the Peace Corps? We really DID used to be moral leaders Elroy. After WWII, we rebuilt Europe and Japan, our recent enemies. Who else does that?

And leaders in dreams. When we walked on the moon, the entire WORLD walked with us. Little boys the world over dreamed of coming to America and becoming astronauts.

THAT's the America we need to get back.

You're making stuff up, some of the people of the world get their moral leadership from their church or perhaps community, but most get it from their parents. NO ONE gets it (or used to get it) from the USA.

This "we have lost our moral leadership" meme has been standard among Democrats for some time. It really means, "everybody loved us and looked up to us under Bill Clinton, and that moron Bush screwed it up along with the economy and Iraq and everything else."

It goes along with thinking that the US economy is in a recession and all the countries of the EU are in better fiscal shape than the US with lower debt and higher per capita income. The MSM has lent all the support it can muster to this worldview (despite the inherent difficulties of portraying 4.7% unemployment and 4.9% GDP growth as recessionary), which will accordingly be improved in a flash the minute Hillary is elected. Lou Dobbs, in a moment of candor, recently admitted that the economy would be reported as being "very strong" if Hillary were in the White House now.
