<confusing times for most?> No need to be confused -- just remember a slower US economy means a lower dollar currency value and rising global commodity prices stated in terms of US dollars. A deep recession would send us into uncharted inflationary territory. The Fed will not risk that -- and will do the helicopter drop -- result? Inflation. Result if they don't flood the market with money? Inflation. THERE IS NO DEFLATIONARY SCENARIO THAT HOLDS WATER. The only issue is how bad will it get.
