Have you tried both the walkers and the sports? My problem might be arthritis (I have arthritis in both knees but only have symptoms in one, where I also have had other leg pains from referred back pain), so that might be a little too much to ask from a pair of shoes.

But thanks so much for the suggestion. A shoe store one block away from my apartment carries them.
