As much as I prefer lower taxes I reached the conclusion long ago that the highest tax receipts result from varying the tax rate. At time receipts benefits form being increased and at other times from uncertainty.

Any combined tax rate over 1/3 of a person's income seems immoral. The "Fair Tax" proposal is supposed to be 32% for the federal share; that rate still seems excessive.

Only because of the capital gains tax, had that been eliminated as bush had pushed for, the tax revenues would not have went up nearly as much. So Thank A Dem.

One must include liquidity increaces in those calculations.

please note that money supply has rizen 50% in the last 5 years. en.wikipedia.org
