Again, I've had mostly TV stuff in my queue. I'm going to check out the PBS series, "The War" this week. Tried DVR-ing it, but was too late for the first couple of episodes.

"Evening" had a prominent cast with Claire Danes, Toni Collette, Vanessa Redgrave, Meryl Streep and Glenn Close and I thought was pretty good. As I said, it's kind of a tear jerker, but I liked it.

"Waitress".. Kerri Russel and Cheryl Hines, along with Andy Griffith in the corner and "Billy" of "Six Feet Under" fame looming around. It is what it is, but I thought it was kind of cute.

There's also another remake of "Lady Chatterley" with the Lady and gamekeeper going at it in French this time. It's pretty much the same thing as the original. Of course sensitive types should be careful here <g>.

Intense indeed. Thanks for Eastern Promises, it is excellent. Also gives a fascinating glimpse into the Russian mafia.

My wife said to say she especially enjoyed the knife in the eye scene. I think she was being a tad sarcastic ;-) but she too really enjoyed the movie.
