Maybe it's just a matter of perception.

I've always assumed Hillary's seemingly hawkish vote and rhetoric were like the rest of the dems who got swept into the Iraq thing. To me it didn't indicate anything valid except timidity.

Remember how fast things moved, and nobody pushed back...not the media, not the academics, not the democrats. I've never felt more despondent watching that thing unfold as to me it was obvious where we were headed.

Maybe you think she was hawkish because she is always being asked and interviewed. I don't recall many other dems at the time even being asked about Sadam and terrorism in general.

She's been asked what she thinks every time something happens. The gottcha crews track her since they have always assumed she'd run.

It's not vindictiveness Doug as much as it is pride to see that a woman can accomplish as much. I have the same feelings
about Rice although I wish she were on the other side of
the political spectrum. Also Albright with whom I disagreed.

Maybe you didn't read my post about being able to watch the newly elected WOMAN president of Argentina speak before their
senate...or whatever for one hour without a note. She was dynamic. Many with whom I spoke..at the hotel only as I was confined to my room for four days and hence I got to watch her being sworn in on TV..... did not like her.

However, she is an atheist...a woman and the wife of the former president. I don't think those with whom I spoke liked him either..

Times they are a changing. I would vote for what is best... for our country.. at the time of the voting which is still along way off. I wonder if all the enthusiasm now will die of ennui.
