I saw disc one of Ken Burns', "The War". It's in the usual Ken Burns' style, as in "Baseball" and "The Civil War".

It projects off of the people in four towns scattered across the country. I think it's pretty effective. Disc one starts in the Fall of '41 through the end of '42. It gives a sense of living right through the period.

Conan spent three minutes last night timing how long he could make his ring spin on the table. Sounds boring, but he kind of made it work. Howie Mandel was on. He's the guest star in tonight's premier of Monk.
