I LOVE that idea! Who better to tax than the DEAD?

It would probably lead to Swiss and Bahamian stashes for the kids, and other weirdnesses. Since most people act like they'll live forever and make no provisions, we'd still collect a LOT more in taxes.

This is exactly what is needed:re:"" Buffet is against inheriting money- that alone would make the big boys against him. ""

Here is a plan. Tax ALL inherited money at 100% and then put all that money to work on social and infrastructure projects in this country. But most (95%) people would be against it, especially the right wingnuts..

In one breath, they talk up rugged individualism, pull yourself up by your bootstraps type stuff and in the next they say the inheritance tax should be abolished, no MATTER how much is involved.

Well they could put their money where their mouth is if EVERYONE coming down the chute came out with a EVEN start.

Everybody starts out with just their birthday suit, not a 1K suit. Make that a 5K suit now.. :)

Then we will see who REALLY makes it..

I bet that would weed out a bunch of now wealthy, ingrown dead wood.. I could name a bunch..

Sounds good to me.. Any other takers?

That has got to be the dumbest, most left-winged moonbat proposal that I have ever heard. What kind of incentive would one have for picking him or herself up and bettering themselves if at the end the government was going to steal everything from you that you have 'earned'.

Give me a break!

But my family has already been through a communist revolution ... do they get a tax credit for that or do they get tagged twice in one lifetime?
