The visceral rejection of anything that smacks of socialism will most likely keep our govt. whether dem or rep from doing anything more than cobbling together a system of private market solutions.

I expect that is true.

Usually I rail against anything visceral. Mindlessness is a hobby horse of mine. As much as I would prefer the outcome to be based on something rational, though, in this case I don't think I'll rail quite as much as I usually do. <g>

from doing anything more than cobbling together a system of private market solutions.

Is that automatically a bad thing?

Do you have a "visceral rejection" of anything that smacks of a private market solution for health care?
