Sky, I think your right. I googled Electronic Data Interchange and read what Wikipedia said about it. Being asked or told to move to EDI is a major major step for a small company like Americhip. It seems to a confirmation that Americhip is entering the big time. The major manufactures must be very serious about the LACC process. It looks like EDI has some significant advantages over paper documentation and it will require a considerable amount of start-up time and resources on Americhip's part. So it appears that majors wouldn't have Americhip do this and consequently, Americhip wouldn't do this unless a "large pot of gold" is the incentive.

I agree. This is a point well made regarding Contracts vs Purchase Orders and ultimately Sales. On another board I have responded to negative posts from a certain poster who continually harps on the issue of "contracts" or lack thereof

I understand your response to "grandbaby"
I researched his past comments which seem only to repeat & question the lack of "contracts". I think he may be harping on this excessively not noticing ACII's significant growth in revenue. While I may agree that the "explosive growth" contacts may still be in negotiation and fustratingly forthcoming, I would also point out that ACII has put out enough press releases regarding new business development and sales to show significant increase in quarterly revenue growth that can clearly be seen in the quarterly reports. So I do not understand were he is coming from. This could not have been achieved with out sales contracts. (or in this case, some other form of sales such as purchase orders)
