SO Joules per minute cannot be work? It must be energy? You really don't understand this stuff do you?

From Wikipedia

In thermodynamics, work is the quantity of energy transferred from one system to another without an accompanying transfer of entropy. It is a generalization of the concept of mechanical work in mechanics. In the SI system of measurement, work is measured in joules (symbol: J). The rate at which work is performed is power.

Since Joules is seldom used it work is usually experessed as a rate or power. That does not mean it is not work. Joules / min or any other unit of time is only used by scientists and students. Engineers and laymen use HP and Watts. The work without a rate or power is usually meaningless except as a step to work the problem.
