Eggolas, Just to show how little I know, I figured that there was a means of re-pricing based on actual data, to regularly update expected values. There is on the liability side. PhD's don't like to let the real world interfere with their fun little intellectual exercises, MBAs generally don't respect the underlying numbers to the extent needed. I really need to talk to my former co-workers who know about this sort of thing. I know that this former company tried to do what you are describing, but it was more of a monthly exercise. (And I never attended the meetings because I was concentrating on other lob's.)
