I don't really understand what you are saying here?

If what I think you are saying is that associated entities don't openly support frauds (the criminal ones set up veils of some sort) then I agree. There is a self regulating element here.

Years ago I tried to look at Enron's books. I was completely confused and I have at least some knowledge of accounting. The feds have already convicted a lot of "associated parties" from within Enron who seem like they didn't know anything to me- including the guy running the "broadband division" who never sold a dime and was in startup mode the entire time. That guy was an Enron employee with an engineering background which means he had as much acct knowledge as me. They are already overreaching within the "criminal enterprise" by convicting everyone of fraud whoever worked there- now they want to expand this to associated entities.
