<many weeks for next round of assays.>

I see it that way too. CPQ hope it gets hot next week.

Not sure about a discovery but I am wondering what will ignite the junior producers like WGI, EPM, MFL, RIC etc. A discovery may not propel small producers.

KTN and PEZ both have also been meeting with different funds to attract new investors. It's not just news that drives these stocks, but increased demand as the story spreads.

Both have held up well relative to others in this nasty market.

I don't think the market will stay nasty for the mining sector much longer. With the gold/XAU ratio hitting a buy signal with a spike over 5 again on Thursday (http://siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=24199363 ), the mining sector should have a nice recovery in coming weeks/months, as it has after previous gold/XAU spikes over 5 ("annualized gains of 89.6%, on average").

IMO, it won't be just the mining stocks with news or "hot discoveries" that will do well, but rather those that have good stories or value.
