When they are going badly, they run around making stimulus plans and otherwise trying to be seen as doing something to respond to the situation. But "doing something" often means doing the wrong thing, or even if your doing the right thing its often to early, or more likely too late when conditions have already changed. Can't argue with that. That doesn't amount to things being to<o> bad. Things are pretty bad. I've been through a lot of different stuff... 9/11, the Asian currency crisis, Black Monday, stagflation. Some are short term problems that are pretty obviously short term. Others are more serious. This one smells serious.
