I am essentially non-religious. i think most of america grew from checking your sleves to what religion you wore in the 60's.. just some areas take awhile to catch up.

Mormons suffer from the same prejudice.

Even more so IMO. I'd like to know just how many people absolutely believe everything the the religion, church temple or whatever they go to preaches. I was a practicing Catholic before but that doesn't mean that I sucked down everything the church and the Pope put out........

Way too much is being made of Romneys religion IMO.....

Religion wasn't an issue when his father ran. Have we taken a step backward?

All religions looked at from the outside in are weird, strange creatures. We think Hindus and Buddhists are a bit, well, odd, don't we? Islam for sure. Many Protestants think Catholics are inferior, popish and "Roman." Who doesn't think a holy roller hard core snake handling Evangelical is not a bit nuts?

Mormons suffer from the same prejudice.

New religions get it double. Their beginnings haven't yet safely faded into the mists of time and Holy Writ. Woe unto the religion whose early neighbors remember the first prophecies and still have their personal opinions on record.
