Stocks have gone down in real terms in the past too e.g. the 1973-74 bear market. That doesn't mean we had deflation then, does it?!

And house prices were going up over the last 4-5 years. Was any deflationist running around then saying that the inflation rate was too high?!

Duh! The Dow finished higher this Friday than it was at close on last Friday.

This is how it will be in the future - Dow will make newer highs in dollar terms but not in gold terms.
